Create an atmosphere of pure worship, and worship Yahweh in spirit and in truth

The purpose for this mission is that we were created to praise God, and as such we should be endeavoring to bring the body of Christ into the presence of the Spirit of the Most High.

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
(John 4:23)

We believe that a revival is due to occur in Bedford, a revival of faith, a revival of hope, a revival of yearning for the Spirit of God to move in the area, a revival of the love of Godly things, a revival of the passion for dedicating time to just being in the presence of God, and in order for these to be fulfilled God has directed us to create opportunities conducive to letting the Spirit flow. The word assures us He is present (Matt 18:20), and we are praying that B.O.W will help revive parts of the culture that might be needed (what that might be is yet to be revealed by the author and finisher of our faith). This programme is being set up in perpetuity to help achieve the mission.

The Vision

To create an annual praise event that honors God and gives an opportunity to both believers and non believers to come and experience the work of the Holy Spirit. This will be achieved through engaging with the Holy Spirit in this intimate setting.

How B.O.W was born

History

Three and a half years ago, I was at ARC church in London attending the 9th edition of S.O.A.K which is hosted annually by the Spirit Led Worshippers. At the time it was an 8 hour event whose sole purpose is to offer worship to God. It was a moving experience and while the event was still going on, I heard God saying to me He wanted this in Bedford. Jesus was at the centre of the event, with people coming to praise and worship Him. The atmosphere was saturated by the Spirit as the people came to lay their burdens at the feet of their King.

I heard Him tell me He wanted this to be the way we are with Him as I saw people broken by their burdens being picked up and revived by the end of the night, I saw people who were crying during the event rejoicing in the name of the Lord by the end, I saw people kneeling and surrendering and allowing the Spirit to move, giving the blessing of healing were it was asked for, giving the blessing of peace where it was asked for, giving the gift of restoration where it was requested. I saw people broken by their situation receive grace and receive Jesus and I heard cries of joy throughout the room. I said, ‘Lord how do we this?’ and He said that we don’t, but He WILL if we are willing.

I got back and the next Sunday I told my Pastor about the experience and announced that I had been convicted to do something like that here in Bedford. That was almost 4 years ago now, there have been 3 more editions of S.O.A.K since then, and I have been to multiple other events where I have had words of impartation pointing to and reminding me of what He had said to me. I believe God wants us to experience this in Bedford; I do not know if He is saying B.O.W is where it will happen but I am willing to follow what I feel has been a conviction to act upon my conversation with Him that day.

Testimony of a servant

Jesus is saying that if we invite Him, and our hearts and minds are open, then He will pour out His Spirit onto those who fervently seek it. He wants us to Obey Him in all things, seek Him in All things and work to do the things that He is instructing us. When I was doubting whether I could do all He is instructing, He asked me when has He ever not been faithful to see His work to completion, when I said I did not have the money or the resources, He said it is not by strength that I would work this work but by His Spirit, and that He would ensure that this work would come to fruition, that if I trust in Him, if I can focus on doing what He has sent me to do, the rest will be in His hands because it is His night, His podium, so His will be done. Since I started speaking to people, God has been faithful enough to bring people whom I did not know before to help with this work, and now I can surely say if it is His Work and of God, it will come to pass. I thank God for His grace, and showing me that even today, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.
